ο ομηρος περιγράφει το μοιρολόι της Ελένης πάνω στον νεκρό του Εκτορα, του αδελφού του Πάρι, του δεύτερου συζύγου κι απαγωγέα της βασίλισσας της Σπάρτης. ο Εκτωρ προστάτευε την Ελένη από την οργή των τρώων που την θεωρούσαν υπεύθυνη για τον πόλεμο και τη δυστυχία τους.
Homer describes Helen's mourning over the body of Hector, brother of her second husband and abductor Paris. Hector pro- tected Helen from the wrath of Trojan people who held her accountable for the war and their misery.
